On Sunday 5 June 2016, a group of 6 (3 from South Korea, 1 from Japan, 1 from Colombia and myself) left Auckland city at 9.30am and went to Coromandel. It was a clear sunny day and the temperature was about 16 degrees in the shade but felt 20 degrees in the sun. Continue reading Coromandel
Piha and Karekare
On Saturday 4 June, I collected 2 Koreans from their apartment in the central city and we went to two of Auckland’s beautiful west coast beaches. We departed at 10am and arrived at Piha Beach after a 45 minute drive, much of it through the Scenic Drive in the Waitakere Mountain Range. Blues vs Crusaders
On 28 May 2016, I collected 6 people from their apartment in the city and went to Auckland Institute of Studies, making a group of 10 (8 Koreans, 1 Colombian and myself). We had a short class on rugby rules and caught the train to Eden Park for the Blues vs Crusaders rugby match. The Blues are the local team (Auckland and north of Auckland region), while the Crusaders are from Christchurch and the surrounding area in New Zealand. Continue reading Blues vs Crusaders
